Join us for an interactive session with the EU Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, where members will gain cutting-edge insights into her portfolio, opportunities for business activity with Australia through the FTA, the role of financial services in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and the EU in a post-Brexit world.
Commissioner McGuinness was nominated to the role by the Irish Government in September 2020. She had previously served in the European Parliament as First-Vice-President and was a key figure in the Parliament’s work on Brexit-related issues. She was first elected as an MEP in 2004.
